About Us

My purpose in designing this web site is to have a place to share some ideas regarding my practice of Manual Therapy. I have contributed to this specialty and include some novel ideas here. Manual Therapy is a Physical Therapy specialty that has advanced competencies in hands-on care, particularly joint and soft tissue mobilization/manipulation. I want to provide a venue to share ideas that are somewhat novel, at times iconoclastic. We need to challenge traditional ideas in order to facilitate change. Research is important and ideas precede research.

Company history

We have taught Physical Therapy seminars since 1985. These are specific to the pelvis, sacroiliac joint, hip, lumbar spine and symphysis pubis. They are described at another web site www.heschmethod.com which is linked. I want this to be a separate web site for dealing with the rest of the body. I have practiced hands-on Physical Therapy since 1981 when I graduated with a BS and completed an advanced master's degree in 2003. I see clients by appointment M-F 10:00am-5:00pm. I also provide written and telephonic consultation by appointment.
