About Us

My purpose in designing this web site is to have a place to share some ideas regarding my practice of Manual Therapy. I have contributed to this specialty and include some novel ideas here. Manual Therapy is a Physical Therapy specialty that has advanced competencies in hands-on care, particularly joint and soft tissue mobilization/manipulation. I want to provide a venue to share ideas that are somewhat novel, at times iconoclastic. We need to challenge traditional ideas in order to facilitate change. Research is important and ideas precede research.

Jerry Hesch is the developer of the Hesch Method of Manual Therapy. He has practiced Hands-on Physical therapy since 1981 and has presented the Hesch Method Seminar since 1985.
